State
Forests
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry, permits mountain bike use on designated all-terrain vehicle (ATV) trails in six state forests. ATV areas close one-half hour after sunset and open one-half hour before sunrise. Note that state forests are open for hunting, in season. Mountain bicycles are expressly prohibited from all other trails and fire roads in Ohio's State Parks and Forests. Scioto Trail State Forest and Scioto Trail State Park are adjacent to each other, and riders must use care to avoid crossing into the State Park. Maumee State Forest, 3390 County Road D., Swanton, Ohio 43558. 419-822-3052. 2) Perry State Forest (Perry County) has 16 miles of trails, but you can ride anywhere. Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) area, where 60 miles of dirt path are marked for level of
difficulty. Motor vehicles no more than 50 inches long are also permitted on these trails,

IMBA RULES OF THE TRAIL
- Ride on open trails only, do not trespass.
- Leave no trace - tread lightly, pack out litter, avoid muddy trails, stay off vegetation and on designated routes. Try not to skid.
- Control your bicycle - slow down when approaching others, and when passing.
- Always yield the trail to pedestrians and horses. Never spook animals.
- Leave gates as you found them.
- Plan ahead - know your equipment, your ability and the area in which you are riding.
